During week 6 of no sugar it’s advised that you detox and eat as many veggies as you can. An easy way to do this is to juice. Juicing ensures that the maximum amount of nutrients from raw veggies enters our bloodstream and in doing so gives the digestive system a break from digesting solid foods.
Imagine eating all of the whole ingredients (raw) listed below in one sitting- it would take quite a while and be rather unpleasant.
I try drink a green juice 2-3 times a week for breakfast to kickstart my day and ensure that I get a high intake of vitamins from the get go. I believe that the first thing you put into your body will determine how you feel for the rest of the day. My go to breakfast is a green juice followed by a 2 egg and spinach omelette.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1/2 bulb fennel
- 2 handfuls spinach
- 2 stalks celery
- juice of half a lemon
- handful of ice cubes
- 1/2 glass water
- bunch of fresh herbs (I use parsley, coriander or basil- whatever I have at the time)
WHAT TO DO:
Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Add more water if too thick.
